The arts have big responsibilities these days. They’re meant to promote social inclusion, diversity, economic regeneration and a cohesive sense of identity. As if expressing something true and beautiful about the human condition wasn’t hard enough.
A degree in Film, Drama and Art has left me with an educated interest in music, painting, and sculpture as well as theatre and cinema. An occasional reviewer, I particularly enjoy modern opera, figurative painting and ambitious public art that has something to say..
